This privacy policy explains the privacy practices of Next Stage Design for visitors to our website at nextstagedesign.com (herein known as the “Website”). By using our Website, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy, including any California-specific practices described below. We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time. If we make any material changes to our privacy policy, we will post a new policy on the Website and update the “last updated” date set forth above, and where required by applicable law we will provide additional notice. Therefore, we encourage you to check our privacy policy whenever you visit the Website to see if it has been updated since your last visit. If you have any questions about our privacy policy, you can contact us at office@nextstagedesign.com.
Scope; California Residents
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through our Website and any related online services that link to this Privacy Policy. If you are a resident of California, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and other California privacy laws, including the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA).
We provide additional information for California residents in the “California Privacy Notice” section below.
Types of Information We Collect
Personal Information
Personal information is information that specifically identifies an individual, such as a customer’s name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, or other account number, and information about that individual’s activities when directly linked to that person such as information about his or her purchases. Personal information also includes demographic information, such as date of birth, gender, geographic area and preferences, when such information is linked to other personal information that identifies the individual.
Aggregate Information
Personal information does not include “aggregate” information. Aggregate information is data we collect about a group or category of products, services or clients, from which individual client identities have been removed. In other words, information about how you use a service may be collected and combined with information about how others use the same service, but no personal information will be included in the resulting data. Likewise, information about the products you purchase may be collected and combined with information about the products purchased by others. Aggregate data helps us understand trends and client needs so that we can better consider new products and services, and tailor existing products and services to customer desires. We may share aggregate information about our users with third parties for various purposes, such as helping us better understand and improve our services, and for advertising and marketing purposes.
How We Collect and Use Personal Information
Next Stage Design collects personal information from you at several different points on our Website, as set forth below. In general, we use personal information for the purpose for which it was collected (such as to provide services or send information you have requested, and to anticipate and resolve problems with our Website and our services), for our own internal business operations, to respond to client support inquiries and for other purposes as described below. We may also de-identify and/or aggregate personal information for analytics, research, and reporting.
Requests for a Consultation, Request a Conversation, Employment Application, and Other Information Submissions
When you submit a request for a consultation, request a conversation, an employment application, or other information submission, you are required to give certain personal information (such as your name, email address, and zip code). We may also request certain information about your interests and preferences. Information you provide during registration may be used for some or all of the following: to provide services you have requested, or to otherwise fulfill your request; and to contact you from time to time (i) about services on our Website for which you have expressed interest; (ii) with news; (iii) for internal marketing, informational, and promotional purposes; or (iv) for any other lawful purpose related to your use of the Website. Additionally, your personal information may be used, together with other information you submit to us in conjunction with your use of the Website, for the following purposes: for editorial purposes (such as listing your question in a FAQ or Q&A section of our website); to contact you for any reason regarding content you have submitted to the Website (e.g., to ask you a question about your project or obtain further information to answer your questions).
Newsletters
When you submit your email address to us to initiate a subscription to one of our newsletters, we ask for personal information such as your name, home address and email address. This personal information is only used to send you the newsletter(s) you have requested and to manage your subscription preferences. Collecting your home address allows us to provide content that is specific to your geographic area. You may opt-out or unsubscribe to our newsletters by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the newsletter.
Contests, Promotions, Offers and Surveys
From time to time our Website requests personal information from users via contests, promotions, offers, and surveys. Participation in these contests, promotions, offers, and surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore may choose whether to disclose personal information in connection with these activities. Personal information requested in these activities may include contact information (e.g., your name and shipping address) and demographic information (e.g., your zip code or age level). We use this information to notify you if you’ve won and to award prizes. We use information we collect in surveys for internal purposes, such as to ascertain the use of this Website and improve its usefulness to you. We may also provide third parties with this information, and may combine it with some or all of your registration information. Third parties may use the information we provide them to contact you regarding products or services that may be of interest to you. These disclosures are discussed in greater detail below in the “Disclosure of Personal Information” section. When we provide information collected during a contest, promotion, offer, or survey on the Website to third parties, we always disclose this to you at the time of collection.
Customer Service
We collect personal information when you submit comments, questions or suggestions to our customer service department. We use the information you provide to respond to your submission and improve our services.

We may also use analytics tools, pixels, or similar technologies provided by third parties (such as analytics and advertising partners) that may use cookies or other tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the Website over time and across different online services. Where required by applicable law, including CIPA as interpreted by certain courts, we will obtain your consent before using tracking or analytics technologies that intercept or record your interactions with the Website (such as keystrokes, clicks, or session replay tools), and will not begin such tracking until after consent is obtained.

Use built-in tools or browser add-ons to control certain tracking technologies.
If we implement a cookie or tracking consent banner, it will allow you to make granular choices about whether certain categories of cookies or tracking technologies (for example, analytics or advertising cookies) are used and will not activate those categories unless and until you provide consent, consistent with emerging interpretations of CIPA and other privacy laws.
Please note that if you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of this Website may become inaccessible or not function properly.
Disclosure of Personal Information
With Your Consent
Next Stage Design will not sell, rent or share personal information with third parties without your prior consent, except as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise permitted by law. With your consent, we may disclose your personal information to third parties in order to provide you with products and services that you have requested. If we are collecting information that may be provided to third parties, we always disclose this to you at the time of collection.

Next Stage Design’s Own Business Purposes
We use and disclose information about you for our own internal statistical, design or operational purposes, such as to estimate our audience size, measure aggregate traffic patterns, and understand demographic, user interest, purchasing and other trends among our users. We may outsource these tasks and disclose personal information about you to third parties, provided the use and disclosure of your personal information by these third parties is restricted to performance of such tasks. We may also share personal information with third-party vendors who assist us in performing internal functions necessary to operate our business (for example, website hosting, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, marketing, and customer support). We require our third-party vendors to keep such information confidential and to only use the information for the purpose it was provided.
Protection of Next Stage Design and Others
We disclose personal information when we believe it is appropriate to comply with the law (e.g., a lawful subpoena, warrant or court order); to enforce or apply this privacy policy or our other policies or agreements; to initiate, render, bill, and collect for amounts owed to us; to protect our or our users’ rights, property or safety; or to protect our users from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful use of our Website; or if we reasonably believe that an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person requires disclosure of communications or justifies disclosure of personal information without delay.
Business Transfers
Information about our users, including personal information, may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, sale of company assets, as well as in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which personally identifiable information could be transferred to third parties as one of the business assets of the company, in accordance with applicable law.
Children & Minors
We do not intend, and the Website is not designed, to collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If you are under 18 years old, you should not register for our services or otherwise provide information on our Website and should ask your parent or legal guardian to do so for you. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as required by applicable law.
Third Party Links
From time to time we may have links to other websites from our Website. We do not control, and therefore cannot be responsible for, the collection, use or disclosure of your information by any such third-party website. Please carefully review the privacy policy of any third-party website that you link to from our Website. The privacy policies of such sites may differ from that of our Website; therefore, we encourage you to review and understand the privacy policies of such websites before providing them with any information.
Third Party Sources
Next Stage Design may also obtain information about you from third parties, such as demographic marketing information, address verification, or third-party mailing lists, and add such information to, or combine it with, your personal information. Should we ever obtain this information and link it to you, we will treat it all as personal information under this privacy policy.
Security
We use reasonable security measures designed to store and maintain personally identifying information so as to protect it from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction by unauthorized parties while it is under our control. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Choice/Opt-out
We give you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving commercial email and SMS from us by following the opt-out instructions provided in the message. Even if you opt-out in this manner, however, you will still receive account-related and non-commercial messages from us, such as messages related to your existing relationship with us or transactions. To get placed on our DO NOT EMAIL list, send a request to office@nextstagedesign.com. If your email address is added to the DO NOT EMAIL list, you will not receive any newsletters or other opt-in email messages. Please note, however, that your email address being placed on the DO NOT EMAIL list does not prevent you from receiving “send-to-a-friend” email messages, or email messages from third parties from which you requested information, products, or services from during or immediately after registration. To opt-out from messages from these third parties, or from any other communications that you receive directly from third parties, you must contact them directly in order to opt-out.

California Privacy Notice
This section applies only to “consumers” who are residents of the State of California, as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and supplements the information in the rest of this Privacy Policy.
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information (as defined in the CCPA):
Identifiers (e.g., name, email address, postal address, IP address, unique identifiers).
Customer records information (e.g., billing address or payment information if you transact with us).
Internet or other electronic network activity information (e.g., browsing history, search history, information regarding your interaction with our Website, including through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies).
Professional or employment-related information (e.g., information included in your employment application).
Inferences drawn from any of the above to create a profile about a consumer reflecting preferences and interests.
We collect these categories of personal information from the sources described in the “How We Collect and Use Personal Information” and “Third Party Sources” sections above.
Purposes for Which We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for the business and commercial purposes described in the “How We Collect and Use Personal Information,” “Cookies, Tracking Technologies, and Log Files,” and “Disclosure of Personal Information” sections above. These include providing and improving the Website and our services, personalizing your experience, communicating with you, conducting analytics, marketing and advertising, maintaining security, and complying with legal obligations.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to third parties for our business purposes, including to service providers, contractors, and other third parties as described in the “Disclosure of Personal Information” section above. When we share personal information with service providers or contractors, we enter into contracts that describe the business purpose and require the recipient to keep the information confidential and use it only for the specified purposes, as required by CCPA/CPRA.
We do not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the way these terms are defined under CCPA/CPRA, unless we specifically state otherwise in an updated version of this Privacy Policy and provide you with the ability to opt out. If at any time we engage in activities that qualify as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, we will update this Privacy Policy, implement a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link where required, and honor applicable opt-out choices.
California Consumer Privacy Rights
Subject to certain limitations and exceptions, California residents have the following rights regarding their personal information:
Right to Know/Access: You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information, and the categories of third parties with whom we disclose personal information.
Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, where we need the information to provide services you requested or to comply with legal obligations).
Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: If we sell or share personal information as defined by CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment from us for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.
You may also have the right to limit the use and disclosure of “sensitive personal information” if we collect it, as defined by CCPA/CPRA. If we begin collecting sensitive personal information in a way that triggers this right, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
How to Exercise Your California Privacy Rights
To exercise your rights described above, you may submit a request by:
Emailing us at office@nextstagedesign.com; or
Writing to us at the postal address listed on our Website contact page (if provided).
When you submit a request, we may need to verify your identity to protect your security and privacy. This may involve asking you to provide certain information that we can match to information we already have on file. If you authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf, we may require proof of your authorization and additional verification steps, as permitted by law.
California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) Disclosures
Because our Website is accessible to residents of California and collects personally identifiable information online, we are required by CalOPPA to provide certain disclosures.
Do Not Track Signals: Some web browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you visit that you do not want to have your activity tracked. Our Website currently does not respond to browser-based DNT signals, but you may use other tools described in this Privacy Policy to control cookies and similar technologies.
Changes to This Policy: We will post any changes to this Privacy Policy on this page and will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we may provide additional notice as required by law (for example, by sending you an email or posting a notice on the Website).
Reviewing and Updating Your Information: If you have provided personal information to us, you may request to review, correct, or delete that information by contacting us at office@nextstagedesign.com, subject to our ability to verify your identity and any legal obligations that require us to retain certain information.
California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) Considerations
Certain California courts and regulators have interpreted the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) to apply to online communications, including communications between a user and a website, such as use of chat tools, contact forms, or tracking technologies that record user interactions (for example, keystrokes, clicks, or session replay).
To address CIPA considerations, we:
Do not intentionally intercept or record the content of your communications with the Website for purposes inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.
Use third-party analytics or tracking tools (if any) that may record interactions with the Website (such as page views, clicks, or session replay) only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and only after obtaining any consent required by applicable law.
Seek to obtain consent from all parties where required before recording or monitoring communications considered “confidential” under CIPA (for example, by using a clear banner or notice, obtaining your affirmative opt-in before session replay or similar technologies are activated, or displaying a notice near chat widgets or forms that communications may be monitored or recorded for quality and support purposes).
If you do not agree to the potential recording or monitoring of your interactions with the Website as described in this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Website or disable cookies and similar technologies in your browser settings, as described above.
