General Manager

Next Stage Design + Build is a company with a 20 year track record of excellence in delivering beautiful and functional designs, high quality construction and top level client satisfaction to our upscale homeowner clients in the Silicon Valley region of the South Francisco Bay Area. As the company evolves into an employee-owned 30 person company and our founder phases out of the day-to-day operations, we are seeking a General Manager to be the Chief Operating Executive responsible for leading and directing the overall operation of the business in a manner that ensures profitable business growth. The General Manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the key staff members and may temporarily supervise managers focused on specific operational projects. The responsibilities also include recruiting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and rewarding employees; addressing their concerns and resolving problems in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will report to the founder and CEO of the company in this role.

Architectural Designer

The Next Stage Design Architectural Designer is a key member of our residential remodeling team, specializing in complex projects such as additions, exteriors, whole-house remodels, and accessory dwelling units. You’ll collaborate with senior designers and project managers to produce accurate, detailed construction drawings and documentation for permit submission. This highly collaborative role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with local building departments, structural engineers, and outside architects.

Interior Designer

Next Stage Design + Build is a dynamic team of remodeling professionals, dedicated to bringing a full-service experience to upscale homeowners in Silicon Valley. We’re looking for a project designer with a passion for construction to join our top-notch design team. We’re in search of an experienced designer ready to jump in on small to mid-size remodeling projects with varying levels of complexity. Solid space planning skills are essential. Keen eye for developing color and materials palettes and presenting with confidence. A background in design-build or residential remodeling is a plus. Full-time hybrid position in North San Jose.

Remodeling Production Manager

Next Stage Design + Build is a dynamic team of remodeling professionals, dedicated to bringing a full-service experience to upscale homeowners in Silicon Valley. We’re seeking a Production Manager to lead and direct our in-house 10 person production team consisting of project managers, supervisors, craftspeople, and a production coordinator in a manner that ensures high quality finished residential remodeling projects for our homeowner clients and profitable business growth. The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and monitoring departmental operational effectiveness, compliance, and safety standards and protocols of the construction of residential remodeling and repair projects for the company. They also provide direction, coordination, and evaluation of their staff members, including recruiting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and rewarding employees; addressing their concerns and resolving problems in accordance with company policies and procedures. They will report to the GM of the company in this role.
