Soapstone Gives Instant Aged Look
If your design calls for a worn look then consider soapstone for your new countertops. Soapstone is durable, resistant to acids and alkalis. It will scratch easily because it is so soft, however it can be sanded or buffed down. It can handle the heat of a pot and is less porous than granite. Many homeowners use it for built-in sinks.
